Pretty in Pink -- tulips in Skagit Valley

This field of Washington Bulb Company tulips was taken April 27, 2009 on McLean Rd in Mount Vernon, WA. As fast as the tulips came, they are in their way out -- come and see them; they are beautiful.

This is the same cherry tree shown earlier in the month. Notice how many more tulips are in bloom. This garden features 3 acres planted with 300,000 bulbs.

Tulip fans from around the world (including all 50 states of the USA) gather to enjoy the tulip bloom in Skagit County, Washington. This boy was enjoying a walk thru the field at Tulip Town.

This Washington Bulb Company field presents a nice contrast with the purple and pink tulips. Notice the Olympic Mountains in the background.

Street Fair April 17-19



The Street Fair in downtown Mount Vernon, Washington was well attended -- the weather was perfect and the vendors did great. There was a nice mix of different kinds of food, from kettle corn to pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. Vendors sold everything from yard art to jewelry and photography. Kids enjoyed the face painting and clown booths.

Tulips Bursting on the Scene





This field of beautiful pink and red tulips is blooming at the corner of Beaver Marsh and Calhoun Road at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival near Mount Vernon, Washington. The tulips are grown by Washington Bulb Company.
